Curriculum

The Yogyakarta International School (YIS) was founded in 1989 as Yogya’s flagship for international primary and early secondary education based on an accredited curriculum. Being an independent foundation the YIS accepts students irrespective of nationality, gender, race or faith.

Teachers

An experienced crew of qualified foreign and local teachers provides quality education for classes that range from pre-school and kindergarten, to grades 1-6 and grades 7-9.

Facilities

The YIS campus is located in a spacious garden surrounded by mature teak, mango, cacao, star fruit and other trees. The classrooms face a central courtyard that serves as play ground. The school has its own sport field, a science lab, a music studio, an art studio, a library and computer room, a language center, and a canteen.

Enrollment

The YIS has been gradually growing into a school of over 75 students from countries all over the world. Students can be enrolled for the entire school year, or per term.
