2. JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (JIS)

Jakarta International School (JIS) was established in 1951 specifically as an international school to meet the needs and interests of expatriate students living in Jakarta. JIS is a large, well-equipped school for students aged three through eighteen years.

In Years 7 to 10, the secondary curriculum continues to be based on the Victorian Essential Learning Standards (VELS).

Years 11 & 12
AIS is affiliated with Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Department of Education and Training. Our senior students study courses accredited by the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies (BSSS) and the resulting certification is widely recognised. Our students can access universities in Australia by either sitting the Australian Scaling Test (AST) in September, which contributes to a University Admissions Index (UAI) or by direct application relying on individual merit.
